Getting To Know Your Business

Do you have a shop front? Where are you based?

No shop front we pop into great venues around Suffolk

Tell me a bit about your business, what makes it special?

What makes Little Signers Club special?   We are more than signing and signing, we are about  communication development,  our ethos is about respectful care, nurture for parents and carers as well as little ones!   Our signing classes are taught by experts and delivered with love!

How long have you been in business?

Little Signers Club started in 2010

What is your favourite part of being your own boss?

Being in control of my time….most of the time!

Do you offer products or services? Please give information about these products / services.

We offer signing classes to little ones aged from 4.5 months through to pre-schoolers.   We also offer a series of wonderful signing story books called Rhyme and Sign Adventures.  Our latest one is due to be published in September.  We also offer a range of other resources to support parents, carers and their little ones on their signing journey.

What is your favourite product or service you offer?

That’s tricky – I love all that I do!

The Baby Signing Basics Course as its a gateway  for so many families who carry on signing for years afterwards with us.

If I want to hire you for your services, how can I do this/find you? Find out more about what we do at www.littlesignersclub.co.uk or e mail me alison@littlesignersclub.co.uk  or check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/LittleSignersClubSuffolk/

Time to get a bit personal…

What kind of family commitments do you need to juggle along with your business? How do you find balance?

I have two small children, one at school and one at nursery and a husband who has a long commute to work!   Finding the balance is always tricky and some months I do better than others.   A twice yearly digital detox works well for me and also scheduling proper time off!

What are your favourite tv shows, foods, or songs?

TV – I  love a period drama.

Favourite food – everything that should really only be eaten occasionally, cake is my big weakness!

I listen to all sorts of music from Abba, Queen, Bon Jovi , Guns n Roses and Dolly Parton, I know that’s a random selection!

What can you be found doing when you have time off?

In the garden with the family, pottering in the greenhouse, hacking at trees and generally trying to find all my gardening tools which the kids have normally borrowed!

What is your favourite place to get away to? And why?

Just come back from beautiful South Devon.  Crystal blue sea, rolling hills, rivers and creeks, what’s not to love?

And last but not least! Snog, Marry, Avoid: Mr Tumble, Mr Bloom, Mr Maker!!

Snog – Mr Bloom!

Marry – well it would have to be Mr Tumble when his voice annoyed me we could just sign to each other!

Avoid – Mr Maker – me and craft do not go well together, my fellow ex Guider leaders can vouch for that!
